i am trying to finish an athearn 34' window frisco caboose that is according to my color guide to mkt/frisco equipment an ex-atsf caboose. in the book it indicates they were used on locals and were not equipped with radios. the question is did any of these cabs have axle generators or marker lights and radios? any info on these is great, it looks as if these cabs could hold about any number anywhere on the cab roster.
i have removed the roof walks plugged all the holes plugged the right windows and such. i also ended up moving the bolsters apart 1/16" each end as they looked like the wheels were inset way too far from the ends.
any thoughts and or ideas are appreciated.

Although the crew may have carried a "Pak-Set", the local cabooses were not equipped with radios. This includes the home-made, from PS-1 boxcars 1400 class cabooses.

By the time the ATSF cabooses arrived, "markers" consisted of a square of red SCOTCH-LITE.

According to a story I heard at the time, the crews disliked these cabooses so much that there were quite a few "accidents" with the kerosene heaters.

I'm not surprised the crews didn't care for them, these seem rather "spartan" .:)
