A couple of items for your interest. I am working with PSC helping with these models. He has asked if anyone out here in Friscoland has one of the Sunset engines and would be willing to trade for one of the upcoming models. I think what he has in mind is using it as a sort of pilot model to make sure the builder gets the snout correct. Secondly, I think I can offer a good price on these models due to contributing to their production. If anyone has any interest in reserving one, please advise via PM. Hate to do business on Frisco.org but it's a good way to spread the word.
Don, I have a painted model that I would be willing to trade for an upcoming model as long as it is (1) at least as accurate as the Sunset model, (2) it is painted and (3) it runs better. Can you help with these questions? One more thing, are you ok with the PSC (Precision Scale?) people? If you know them and are ok with them, so am I. Thanks.
While I do not plan on dropping the money on one of these I would recommend that if they haven't planed on it, make it dcc ready, this would probably help the selling point for people that are afraid to hard wire in decoders, especially to steam engines. Just throwing that out there Ethan
In reality, everything is DCC ready, but I know what you want. I don't recall any brass models being so equipped.
I believe the Glacier Park Models Mountains released a couple of years ago were Tsunami equipped, at least the one that I saw was.
