Here are some hoppers I painted up, decaled and weathered. I'm not really happy with the decal paper I used to make the decals but I'm still learning. I've got 4 more I haven't finished weathering yet.
The hoppers look great Daniel!!! It looks like you have a nice layout. Please post photos of your layout, we would like to see them. You might consider starting a new thread for your layout and tell us about it. Joe
I have said many times, that if I had known how good N scale was going to be now, 30 years ago, I would be in N scale now. Great weathering job Daniel! Great looking cars and RR for sure.
Thanks for the kind words, fellows. What is interesting about the responses is that these cars actually ARE 30 years old. What I have done here isn't anything you couldn't have done in N scale 30 years ago, with maybe the exception of the MTL trucks being much more prevalent now. One give away that these are older N scale cars is the very thick walkway on top of the cars. Newer cars are much better about this, or at least, the more expensive brands. These particular cars were only $3 thirty years ago! Bachmann, sold at KB Toys in the Fort Smith Central Mall.
