Congrats to our very own Brad Slone on achieving MMR status. Brad is MMR #437. I have seen first hand Brad's modeling and knew he would reach his goal of becoming a Master Model Railroader. Great work Brad! Bob Wintle MMR 419
Anyone keeping track of those MMRs in the Frisco Nation? Ron Williams Charlie Dischinger Tim Kubat Jan Jester Richard Napper Me Bob Wintle Brad Slone ?? ??
Thanks to everyone for the kind words, all I can say is that if an average modeler like myself can do it, there's no reason you all can't either. The one thing you need is pure de old stubbornness! It's what got me through college as well! My camera capacity is limited, but I will see if I can get some decent shots. Once again thanks, coming from you guy's it means a lot. Brad Slone
Congratulations Brad! I've seen photos of your tall wood trestle and Rolla depot. Your work is way above that of the average modeler. Dale Rush Carthage, MO
Now, back to speaking to your wife. Congratulations. Great modeling. Be sure to write an article for the PILOT. Doug in Glenwood Springs, CO
We moved to Ann Arbor, MI in August 2005. The rancher has a nice basement, but, alas, no layout started yet. Don Wirth and Ken Wulfort think I should try to do the Ft. Wood 20-mile US Army railroad. The current stumbling block is that Frisco staging to the east of Newburg just isn't there. Newburg just may have to be east staging. Brad has raised the bar for us all. Doug - back home Saturday. The old D&RGW line through Glenwood Springs is heavily used. We even saw an EB Amtrak yesterday.
Doug, I was able to get the following merit awards; 1. Structures 2. Motive Power 3. Rolling Stock 4. Dispatcher 5. Official 6. Author 7. Prototype Scene I was able to get it done without a layout, so now it's your turn! Brad Slone
Congratulations to you Brad on achieving your Master Model Railroader status. You do great work. I look forward to seeing the layout. Ron Williams MMR 82
