Oronogo, MO depot. FM Edit 3/26/2024: Oronogo, MO, MP 322.3, is the junction point of the Carthage Subdivision with the Joplin Branch. Joplin, 331.5, is 9.2 miles to the west, geographic southwest. Frisco's primary yard in Joplin is at Ruth, MP 333.3. Ruth, MO is the beginning of the Galena Branch that runs to a connection with the Afton Subdivision at Baxter Springs, MP 347.9. At J. and G. Junction, MP 332.3, the Joplin Branch Connected with the Tuckahoe Branch. The Tuckahoe Branch connected to the west, geographic north northwest, again with the Carthage Subdivision at Carl Junction, MP 340.4. From the north the Girard Branch connected at Carl Junction. The The Girard branch connected at the point with the Afton Subdivision. The branch ran from Girard, MP 124.4, through Pittsburg, KS, MP 134.9 to Carl Junction, MP 153.9. This had been the original Kansas City, Ft. Scott and Gulf (KCFS&G) Railroad's primary route into Joplin. MKD
