    Folks -
I slapped together a quick, "blank" Form 19 Train Order to ultimately use for our operating sessions. It uses the "Frisco Lines" logo; if you are modeling a post-reorganization era, you could easily substitute the later "FRISCO" only coonskin.

I eventually want to whip up some extra items such as clearance forms and train sheets.

I'd also appreciate any quick "fact checking" and comments for any errors that appear on this one.

    Best Regards,

In keeping with Chris' lead, here are two variations of Form CT73 switchlist that I re-created based on the original. I print them double-sided on buff color card stock to look like an original but that someone can write on with a pen or pencil. Try printing double-sided on a sheet of regular paper and view through the doc in bright light to check for proper registration (alignment front to rear).

I have provided both Excel and pdf forms.

My railroad will require a lot of swiching from a small yard. I intend to use switch lists, so this document is useful, thanks for that. I'm not sure how they would work regarding pick ups. In other words a train goes out with six cars to be delivered and noted on the switch list. But along the way suppose they are to pick up three cars, how do they know?

Dumb question, but I've never been a railroader and not much of a 1/87th size one either.

Our Heartlands group has had a donation from the family of a deceased Frisco yard clerk who literally did not throw anything away and took everything home from the office. We have at least forty banker sized boxes to go through that contain books, magazines and railroad forms and timetables. I should be able to scan every type of Frisco form you will probably ever need. I know I saw lots of Frisco forms of various types, including switch lists and blank train orders. I also saw a form to fill out for customers to request cars to be switched. As I go through the boxes I will try and scan one copy and post here.

Keith, Chris I applaud your work.

I chose the "easy button and made copies of the actual Frisco train order (1976) and the switchlist.

    John (Boomer),

The idea (from CGW, CNW, UP hogger Mike Porter) of the switchlist is that it is an inventory by location for every car in the switching area including cars in your train. For each car in your train, note the destination of the car. For each car at an industry, list those staying and those to be picked up. As you work each industry you will be able to note which cars are dropped, which stay and which are picked up.

Keith, whut did yu edit? My spelin?

John, your generousity of taking the time to scan and post is very much appreciated by those of us here and those yet to come.

As Rick stated, a Switchlist is a kind of inventory control sheet that the train crew would have in their possession. They did not carry car cards with inserted waybills and work from them (as many of us modelers do), instead the switchlist would provide them with the information they needed do get the cars where they were supposed to go and pick up the cars that were to be picked up. If there was not space to spot a car where it was to go, the off-spot would be documented in the Remarks column.

Attached are the Excel and pdf versions of the CT-108 Train Order form that I re-created. I created them so they can be printed double-sided if you wish to save paper.

They will print one to a sheet.

    Clearance form CT-94 will follow.

Aye, Rick; creating a Form 19 from scratch is one reason why my actual modeling efforts languish.

Somewhere I have a copy of the original "switch list" that was posted here a while back. I've made copies and will use on our Northern Division.

John Chambers, I eagerly await the results of what you have to share - many thanks, in advance.

    Best Regards,
