VINTAGE FEED & SEED SIGNS AND TWO NEW SETS OF VINTAGE PORCELAIN SIGNS
    AVAILABLE:
Vintage Feed & Seed signs are replicas of porcelain and tin feed and seed
signs from "back in the day". Porcelain advertising signs were found all
over feed and seed stores, elevators, barns and farm fences. Suitable for
1940's to the present. While these are 1940's-80's signs many of them are
still found presently on feed stores, elevators and farms.

Two new sets of Vintage Porcelain Signs are now available. Each set is a
replica of porcelain and tin advertising signs from "back in the day".
Porcelain advertising signs were found all over commercial businesses, barns
and fences. Suitable for all eras and available in N and HO.

WHAT IS A PILE O' TIES????

Sounds like an answer on the game show Jeopardy doesn't it? Piles of ties
are made of lasercut wood, pre-assembled and ready to place on your layout.
Random pattern ties so each stack is unique. Untreated ties for use in
railroad yards, tie yards, sawmills, lumber yards, construction sites and as
railroad car loads or truck loads. Treated ties for use along your right of
way, in railroad yards, tie yards or as railroad car loads or truck loads.
These have become an unexpected best sellers and we can barely keep up with
production. Assembled and available now in HO and N scale, treated and
    untreated.

TWO NEW SETS OF HO & N SCALE GRAFFITI DECALS NOW AVAILABLE
PRICE INCREASE COMING SOON ON HO GRAFFITI DECAL MEGA SETS:
Nearly 12 years of collecting real train graffiti photos has once again
yielded some of the best graffiti ever offered to model railroaders. And in
response to your requests, our new graffiti decal sets contain many more
tags for only a little more money than our older and smaller sets.

You may be asking why our decals cost a little more than those sold on eBay.
Well a few things to ask your eBay sellers: Are the decals printed with an
inkjet printer and subject to ink bleed when soaked in water if they are not
properly sealed? Are the decals printed with UV protection or so they will
fade over time, especially if exposed to sunlight or fluorescent lighting.
Sometimes their decals are not printed with a white undercoat so they are
not opaque enough to cover lettering or dark colored cars. And they are
often printed on a sheet of solid white decal paper so you will have to trim
very close to the decal or have an unrealistic white halo around the decal.
All of these little tricks save on production costs, but all also lead to an
    inferior set of decals.

When the new HO Walthers catalog comes out in September pricing on all of
our HO scale Mega Sets will go from $5.00 per set to $6.00 per set. Price
increase is necessary because my decal paper prices are up 22% and my ink
prices have gone up 75% since the last price increase. It is a good time to
    buy now and save.

  2. Rick McClellan

Rick McClellan 2009 Engineer of the Year

I have done some chalk markings with a white pencil I got at a local art store. Works real nice.

Today's graffitti is really vandalism. We have all seen graffitti to the point where the car's reporting marks are totally covered, defeating the purpose of the reporting mark and confusing yard clerks and switch crews. At the same time I am amazed at the real art in some of the vandalism. If those guys could just channel their frustration to canvas, they might make some money.

Since I am in the 1970s and inching toward 1983 the really good (?) graffitti is not appropriate (I don't think it is anyway). It would be really hard for me to cover up one of today's beautiful cars with graffitti although the Blair Line decals are excellent. Guess I'm getting old(er) (est) . . . .
