Our good friend and forum supporter Dale Rush at Blair Line has just added several new and interesting items that have a general appeal to all of us no matter what era we model. They are: (1) More of his very popular wooden grade crossings including a really neat one lane "rough cut" one that could be used to get to a farm house or farm field. There is also a two-lane version for a country road. Also a station platform pedestrian crossing that could probably also be used for the handcar set-out he offers on a dual-track main line. These are available in both HO and N Scale. http://www.blairline.com/gradexings/ (2) Pile 'O Ties- These are available in either treated or untreated versions in both HO and N Scales. http://www.blairline.com/miscsce/ (3) Porcelain Advertising Signs- There are two sets available in both HO and N Scales. Also a vintage feed store set in both scales. http://www.blairline.com/bsigns/ For those of you that have never met Dale or are not aware of his products, he lives in the Carthage, MO area and therefore his structure kits are very typical of small town America in the heart of Frisco country.
Bob, thanks for the heads-up! The quality and price of the work are hard to beat! Dale, I especially like the sign for "Cutting Cheese Co." I'd never noticed that one before, but my 11-year old will think it's a hoot. When we toured Shelburne Farms in Burlington, VT last summer and went to watch cheese making, we arrived just in time to see them cutting the cheese.
Dale - Any chance of ever doing a series of "Pete's Cafe" signs in one of your sign sets? Anyone modeling a highway scene in Missouri on a layout needs a few of 'em! Ken
Thanks for all your kind comments and support. I appreciate it very much. Ken, I have heard of the Pete's Cafe signs but cannot find any photos. The first location of Pete's Cafe in Boonville would make a dandy model. Dale Rush modeling the Clinton Sub in N scale Carthage, MO
