I am trying to decal the caboose, SLSF 1102 It seems there are plenty of photos of the right side (cupola on left side in side view) but almost none of opposite or left side of the crumb box (cupola on right side in side view). I have two sources and both show different locations for side reporting marks and #'s. The placement of the herad is cosistent but I would appreciate any help on the placement of the reporting marks.
    Thanks much

Well I decided the quickest way to find the correct placement, was to decal it. Then "modelers law" will intervene and the placement will surely be opposite of the way I placed it.

:D LOL :D U hit the nail-- urr-- spike on the head.

I was just going to suggest that you find a number that you have both sides shown.

A fault that I have with all preservation type photography. Never enough pictures. I learned this lesson too late. A minimum of 4 shots should always be taken if it's setting still. At least one for each side.

I agree, but could not find any of this series with photos of both sides. The 2 shots I have of the side I want, are from different cabooses and the reporting marks are in different locations, not just a little but on opposite ends of the thing. On the other hand, if there are no other photos of the cab, it would be more difficult to prove me wrong :) But that miserable modelers law, I know I will eventually be stricken, its just a matter of time and location. It will most likely happen at a show with a crowd gathered around to enhance the effect and experience.
    But I regress
