I'm sure everyone that has used a Dremel Moto-tool has at least momentarily lost track of the wrench that is used to tighten or loosen the nut/collet, and has been frustrated by having to change the collet to fit different diameter shaft tools.

The answer to those situations is to change out the nut/collet for the Dremel #4486 Keyless Chuck for $11.97. The Dremel Keyless Chuck will accomodate the standard 1/8" accessories but will also tighten down on nearly all those tiny numbered bits in the high numbers.
They are available at Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, and on Amazon.

Don't buy the knock-offs you might find for less; they will not tighten properly on small shaft diameters ( I know; I tried) without adding a spacer between the end of the Dremel shaft and the knock-off chuck internally.

Just what I needed to make the drill press accessory work for me. Ordered one tonight. Thanks Keith.

I've used those for years now and wouldn't go back to the collets for anything. I don't even know where they are any more.
