Many many moons ago I stocked up on brass MU hose castings for diesels, both four hose and three hose types. I am now out of three hose MU brass hose castings and I can not find them anywhere. Can anyone help me locate a viable part number for three hose brass MU hose castings? Thank you.

I take it that you do not have the original packaging anymore for your MU's. Doesn't a brand name ring a bell? That might help.

    Richard,

I would probably look at Hi Tech Details, I've used their freight car hoses for a while. They look good, but the big thing is that they are very durable.

Richard - Details West has three m/u hose sets in white metal: MU-266 & MU-294. They don't have the up-close detail of brass, or plastic, but they are OK to my eye and are quite durable. DW also offers four-cluster sets - MU-265 and MU-295.

Details Assocoates offers individual m/u hoses, but I have found them to be a pain to install since you need to drill a lot of holes close together. The DW's are a lot easier.

I"m with Ken here, DW's stuff is great for 3 or 4 cluster hose arrangements for MU hoses, but I try not to don't handle them too much. The High Tech stuff works great too. I do like the flexability of the "Hi Tech" product line, it is good stuff.
The DA hoses are way too stiff, and wont hold paint. DW hose clusters hold paint well, but do not handle any sort of manipulation well..
I do enjoy the High tech stuff for many projects, but I seem to migrate to DW for the MU hoses, as long as you dont mess with them too much you will be OK.

Thanks for the part numbers. I do not know how I missed the DW hoses. I will check into High Tech as well.

    Richard,
I was looking thru my stash, and found six packages of the DA 1508 MU hoses. PM me if you are interested in going that way, I am sure we can "make a deal"

I finally found the brass mu hoses I was looking for; they are made by Custom Finishing Models: 3 hose set #247-257, and the 4 hose set #247-258. One set of four clusters is $8.95.
