I am a member of the Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society and the Southern Pacific Historical & Technical Society. I am very interested in railroad history. I have several groups that I own and moderate: Model Railroads of Southern California https://groups.io/g/ModelRailroadsofSoCalif https://www.facebook.com/groups/150347595443 Railroad Citrus Industry Modeling Group https://groups.io/g/RailroadCitrusIndustryModelingGroup Railway Bull Shippers Group https://groups.io/g/RailwayBullShippersGroup One of the things I do through my Model Railroads of Southern California group is organize layout tours. I have organized and managed tours for: National Model Railroad Association Annual Convention 2008 (Anaheim) Santa Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society Annual Convention 2008 (Riverside) Pacific Southwest Region/NMRA Annual Conventions 2004 (Glendale), 2012 (Ventura), 2016 (Los Angeles) Pacific Coast Region/NMRA 2014 (San Luis Obispo) Central Coast Railroad Festival 2010-2013 & 2015-2019, 2021-2022 (San Luis Obispo) 26th Annual Sn3 Symposium 2011 (Monrovia) National Narrow Gauge Convention 2013 (Pasadena) Beginning in 2006 through my Model Railroads of Southern California group I have organized and managed sixty-five layout tours all over the southern half of California. Over 800 home, club and museum model railroads plus garden railroads have been featured on these tours. I have a medium size HO railroad based on the Southern California citrus industry, circa 1956. I have joined this group to learn more about the Frisco's operations and rolling stock. and to contribute what I can to the group.
Hello Bob! I've seen your credit line on several 'net photos over the years. Some nice pics! Enjoy the site! Andre
Bob, Welcome Aboard! There is a lot of depth on our forum for anyone wanting to take a deep dive in to the Frisco. The forum is broken into two main sub-forums; Historical and Modeling, although at times the line between the two blurs, especially in the modeling sub-forum. We welcome contributions to support Frisco.org since we do not have a formal organization; the preference of the members here has always been to have a free and open forum with no politics.
