Thank you for allowing me to join. My grandfather worked for the railroad in the 30s - 40s. My mom's family, 8 kids and parents, lived in boxcars provided by the railroad. Two cars in a T shape, with three rooms each and an outhouse. I'm looking for any information I can find or perhaps photos of the boxcar house. I remember her saying 'hobos would come to the house looking for food and her mom would always leave food outside for them."
