Tom, et al, at the NMRA Show today, Class One Model Works announced that they will be producing the GSC Depressed Center Flat. They used Rick McClellan's brass model as a model reference. Rick McClellan said, "Class One is making them in all roads. My brass model here is their prototype."[IMG]

  2. Wow. That’s cool. Been a long time coming for Frisco modelers. Might get Ho nosed U25s and 3900 both in the same year.

Class One Model Works seems like they came out of nowhere and already have some neat stuff on the way.

    Is that Rick McClellan?

Been so long I don't think I'd recognize him!

Class One Model Works is the new company formed by Stephen Priest and Mike Brusky. It has been in development for several years and is now stepping out into the light. They have some pretty awesome stuff planned. https://classonemodelworks.com/

    Yes, that is Rick McClellan!

    Thanks for the reply, Keith!

I'll need to take a look at COMW's site and see if there's stuff I won't be able to live without.

Good to see that Rick is doing well. I sure is miss him around here at Frisco.org.

It is GREAT to see Rick for the first time here on the .org in many years!! Looks like he is doing well. I only hope for him the very best. Very glad to see his BRASS model being used for the new model design. Those GSC drop decks were basically indestructible, but their MT weights excluded them from many loads, due to axle loading restrictions, but still a great Frisco model, Conrail had many, many variations based on their former roads. A very unique rail car.
    Thank you Rick, and Keith!

Rick is continuing to build on his railroad. The Springfield South Yard (passenger operations) is nearing operational status and the rest of his "pike" continues to get more scenery. I need to take some pictures and update the thread on his layout. Rick McClellan's Northern Division

Pics of Rick's layout progress would be wonderful, Keith.

Please let him know that I sure enjoyed eating lunch together over at the meet in Pittsburg, KS several years ago and sure miss him here at Frisco.org.

Yes, pics would be wonderful! I haven't been up there since long before the pandemic. I was beginning to wonder if he was still railroading!
