I worked it off and on in the early 2000's. Sometimes I would catch it off the Extra Board, other times I was able to bid on it.

Every night a transfer job would bring cars for the Coburg and Rosedale to 19th St. from Murray Yard. In the morning we would take a double hooker (2 SW1500's) and switch out our stuff and the cars for the big mill at Rosedale.

We would then head for the Terminal using the same way Frisco passenger trains went to Union Station. We used a double hooker because of the hill between Union Station and Cleveland Ave. on the KCT.

Once we got to Sheffield Jct. we would take a right onto the Coburg (Hi-Line). There was a lumber yard we would switch out on the way down. Other than that there was no work until we got to BV Jct. There was a passing track at MacGregor where we could run around our train.

There was 2 or 3 places we switched out, what it was I never asked, just boxcars of something. There was one place the way Frisco built it was pretty interesting. The best way I can describe it was a scissor type arrangement with a diamond in the middle. It's gone now but if you look at older maps you'll see what I'm talking about.
