Had an unexpected suprise today when shopping at Hobby Lobby with my family. Near the front of the store was a bunch of vintage looking automotive signs. So I began looking for a nice Chevy sign to hang in my garage(I just got a 1953 Chevy pickup), then I saw what I thought was a Frisco coonskin on the next aisle. So I walked toward it and it was a coonskin. They also Frisco E unit sign which was a copy of one of the old advertisments. Besides Frisco they had Santa Fe and a single CB&Q sign. All had that fake rust/beat up look to them. All signs were licensed by the BNSF. The signs ranged from $15 to $30 which did seem kinda high, but with a 40% off coupon is reasonable. Just thought I would pass that along.
I bought two of the coonskin logos last week at the new Hobby Lobby that just opened in Bangor, Maine. They were 50% off which made them about $7. I have seen these on eBay for three times that much. It was an easy sale. I am probably the only Frisco person on the State of Maine. I did not see the other one you spoke of and would like to see it. Charlie
I also got a coonskin one at my local Hobby Lobby here in Wichita, KS but could not find any of the others that you mentioned. I also searched their online selections for about an hour to no avail. Oh Well
It looked similar to this, but the text was slightly different. Also the edges were "rusted". They also had a Popular Mechanics one with some F units(non-Frisco, but still cool) on the front.
