What steam locomotive wheel arrangement ran on the Frisco River Division from Saint Louis ,MO to Memphis TN in the steam era. I think 4-8-2s is the answer.

The 1940s until Frisco"s end of steam in 1952. BTW, sorry about the misspelling of Division.

During Between August 1940 and Aug 1941, the Frisco west Shop forces built 5 Hudsons, 1060, 1061, 1063, 1067, & 1068, for service on the Oklahoman and the Memphian. The Sunnyland was in the hands of one of the 1040-class 4-6-2’s. During the war years the light USRA Mikados handled through freights, and the local work was in the hands of the 1200 and 1306-class 2-8-0’s and the newer 4-6-0’s. The Frisco-built 1350-class 2-8-2’s began working during 1943-1946 period.

It wasn’t until the transition-era that the 1500’s began to appear on The Sunnyland and Memphian, and the 4100’s began to handle through freights.
