It started in the 1980s era, and moved to the old dispatcher building on Commercial in the 1990s. It didn't go defunct until the early 2000s....

Monett's as close as we get... and I would need a "qualification" run before I could. :D

Unfortunately, it's just not practical to attend this year.

No. Its not really that great up close. The guy I hired to do the body prep and paint let me down. So it looks good at 20 ft, not so great up close. There weren't any rust precautions taken, so now it has body cancer in the bed. Next time I'll do it myself or hire a pro.

It still gets thumbs up on my daily commute and around town jaunts.

    Thanks for asking.

Can anyone fill me in on parking? Anything close to the show? Looks like I might actually get to go!

Enjoyed the event. Kudos to the OMRA for the overall event.

    Special thanks to the presenters:

Keith Robinson, thanks for the insights on the tools and supplies of the trade.

Chris Abernathy and Keith Robinson whipped together an interesting slide show on the River Division to sub for our friend Pat Hiatte.

Ken McElreath presented an interesting and well polished case for modeling secondary yards for mid-sized HO layout operations.

The roundtable was entertaining and at times, moving, as the Frisco Family shared their experiences from lives of service. Forgotten flaggers! Alligators! Runaway locomotives!!!

Unfortunately, I missed the first presentation, but I'm sure it was good too.

Congratulations to Steve for his model win. There was great competition, all of the models were outstanding.

Thankful I got to meet Mssrs, Steve Hurt and his father Jerry, Keith Robinson, Ken McElreath, Charlie Dischinger and Ron Williams. Forgive me if I missed anyone.
