Out of curiosity, would anyone happen to know what the steam pressure going into the whistle was on a 1500 class locomotive?

I believe 1500s ran 210psi in the boiler.

Figuring in pressure drop while running, 190-205 pounds would not be out of the question.

Rarely would crews fire right on the mark of popping, usually the fireman would try to keep it 5-10 psi under the pops.

The tone of the whistle would not hardly be affected by the normal variations in pressure while the engine was running.

Would you or anyone also happen to know the gallons per minute (GPM) rating of steam required by the whistle under operating conditions?
