    Ran across this - http://www.railphoto-art.org/collections/lamb/group-five/#!

It has several Frisco action photos in Alabama and Mississippi, plus one in Vinita OK. Maybe it got stuffed there since it was Frisco related? Anyway, B&W, O&W and some steam on the Mississipian if you keep scrolling down.

Excellent quality. Thank you much for the link.

Vinita, OK pic: I suspect that is mislabeled. I don't think the Wabash/Frisco crossed at Vinita, OK.

It was a MKT crossing. The Wabash engine was a leased unit according to the caption.

That Vinita picture was also in a fairly recent Classic Trains magazine. Maybe from a year or so ago?? My copy is lying in my bathroom, I looked at it just yesterday...

Thanks for sharing. Great pictures regardless if they are B & W.

The Wabash is a leased unit on the MKT, huh? Very interesting. I didn't see a caption on the website picture... perhaps overlooked it.

During the Wm. Deramus administration on the Katy (approx. 1957-1961), the Katy leased units from the CGW, KCS (maybe other RRs also ??) as well as the Wabash. This was a time when the Katy was having several units sent to EMD for rebuilding and/or re-engining.

Ah ha... went back to that site to find why I didn't see a caption. As before, I right clicked to view the picture in another tab and it displayed full screen without a caption. To see the caption you have to left click on the target picture thumbnail, then the software program opens a smaller frame containing the picture AND the caption in smaller size than full screen.

    Mystery solved!
