Today i picked up the Frisco F3 A-B set Genesis for $ 140 at the Deland Show. I also got decoders, question is Speaker placement. I am sure someone on here has put in a speaker in this unit. I hope to save a little guess work. Where did you put the speaker? i got the Tsunami EMD 567 sound decoder and the TCS four Function drop in for the B unit.
    Issues?

I can't answer your question but congrats on the purchase of the motive power and excellant choice for a decoder. Turn this project into a "How I did it" thread.

Bill, I have the answer to your questions; I have done over 230 sound installations in locomotives since fall of 2010.

The Soundtraxx Tsunami TSU-GN1000 model #828050 is the decoder to use in the Genesis F units. For speaker placement the place to put a speaker is in the rear, above the rear truck. I have designed a bass reflex speaker enclosure that is the perfect fit for it and Stewart F units and uses a 20mm X 20mm Mega Bass speaker. I will sell you the entire speaker and enclosure, assembled with wires for $16.00, including postage. Send me your address via PM if you are interested.

A picture of how it fits is below. Note: I painted the exterior of the enclosure black so would not show through windows or fans, and strapped it in place using Kapton tape.

BTW, the same decoder can be used in Stewart F units, just place the board in upside down.
