Frisco 2012 Convention in Tulsa Cancelled

    Howdy folks,

    The decision's been made. Reserve the date for an exciting weekend in Tulsa, 21-23 September 2012.

    Details will be emerging from the convention crew. This thread is a place to discuss ideas for the convention, details, etc.

    I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Tulsa.

    Where is the convention being held, and all the rest of the details? I want to go to this. I really would like to meet my Frisco friends and learn a thing or two.

    Thanks. Yes, I am looking forward to it. I haven't been away for a weekend in years. With Tulsa right up the road, I am thoroughly enjoying the aspect of going. I am going to try and find a place that will accept dogs to go, as leaving my best friend Roosevelt for the weekend may be rough on him. At least if I can see him, he will be happy. But I'll see how that goes when the time comes. I hope that they will let us know the place of conference shortly so reservations can be made. Does anyone know if any big events are planned in Tulsa that weekend?

    I won't be able to get to Tulsa this morning, as I've been at work until rather late & I'm just now getting home, but I'm hoping some of the Frisco modelers in the Tulsa area will be at the Indian Nations Division meeting to trump up some support.

    I am currently searching for the hotel and meeting place. Richard Napper will be doing registration as soon as I find a location.
    He is waiting on me to finish the search and I hope to have a location by next weekend.

    Hello,

    There will be a second meeting Saturday, 12:30pm, June 23 at the Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett in Tulsa to dicuss plans for the convention. We still need volunteers for the local activities. Please come to the meeting if you live nearby.
    A package was sent to the Convention Commitee for the final hotel selection and should have an answer soon.

    Hello,

    The Trade Winds Central in Tulsa will be the location of the 2012 Convention. Richard Napper will have pre-registration forms ready soon.

    Saturday June 23 there will be a 12:30 meeting at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett in Tulsa. If you live in the Tulsa area Please attend so we can start working on the details of the convention. We need local volunteers!

    The Trade Winds Central address is 3141 E. Skelly Dr., Tulsa OK 74105-6375. For rooms reservations call 918-749-5561 and state you are with the Frisco Historical Society. Double or single rooms will be $50 plus taxes.

    Joe,

    Sorry, but I have family-related issues I need to deal with this weekend. Please keep me informed on what you guys discuss.

    I am still willing to be on board to help this convention out, though.....so feel free to "volunteer" me for whatever chores are needed ;)

    Looking at the registration form there are eight clinics. What are the topics and who is presenting? If that info has been posted I've missed it.

    Good news! Pre-registration price of $25.00 has been exstended to 14 September 2012.
