Howdy, This photo is the result of being forced to run a Santa Fe transfer at Rick McClellan's during the 2010 Frisco Convention. This one is after running a Frisco train at the Texas Western Model RR Club in Fort Worth. Big difference, huh? Best, Mike Corley
Medical laboratory technologist here. Sharp metal objects, blood & body fluids, the works. And for this I went to college......
Mike, I didn't realize that any Frisco Folk was capable of inflicting such unspeakable cruelty. I'm grateful that you were able to rebound nicely. Best Regards,
I was sittting at David's workbench in his train room, and behind the door was Barbara's laundry room.
I didn't realize this search was going to be so hard. All pics of myself have been at weddings, funerals, graduations and such, and dressed for those situations... not in my everyday clothes. This is more like it, wearing my E8 shirt (I purchased one of 1522 as well). That's my granddaughter Madalyn.
From L to R; Grace, Dustin, Gary Wayne Johnson. Photo is Dustin's 8th Grade graduation from Plainview R8 School, May 2011. It is about 20 miles west of Ava, MO on 76 highway.
In defense of our friend Rick, here's a pic of our boss happily running a freight with proper (read Frisco) road power. Granted, it was neither steam or black & yellow diesels, but it wasn't a "furrin" road.....
Here's me and mini-me on one of our trips to Lackland on the old Rock Island St. Louis Sub. Pat Moreland, Union Mo.
Well - They an't very pretty! Seems I am always the one with the camera (probably a good thing). Hope this does not 'crash' the site! Admin note: I think he's got a little of the James Garner look...
Doug, if we cast an award for who "cleans up the best," I cast 2 for you. It is good to see your handle on here. I was wondering just the other day if a little bit of Lebanon, MO is starting to take shape yet in Michigan? Best Regards,
OK, I'll join in, only because the pic includes my bride. This is Caroline and me having lunch at the famous Mucky Duck on Captiva Island, Florida in May, 2012. A great, fun place! BTW, the people at the table behind us were also from St Louis, but we didn't know it. We each finished lunch at the same time, and as we were standing up to leave, I put on my Cardinal cap and the guy right behind me put on his Cardinal cap. Turns out they are from Creve Coeur, we are from Frontenac - bordering towns here in St Louis County. Small world! Ken
Cardinals Fans Represent! At the risk of launching a hostile takeover of your story, Ken, I was wearing a Cardinals' polo while our family dined at Frenchy's Rockway Grill this summer at Clearwater Beach. Our server introduced himself as a Southern Illinois native and a Cubs fan. Naturally my wife had to ask him: "Do you know the difference between a Busch Stadium hot dog and a Wrigley Field hot dog?" The answer: "You can order a Busch Stadium hot dog in October." Wisely, she chose to enlighten him after he had served our entrees. Best Regards,
I was at McGuire's Irish restaurant in Pensacola last month wearing my Cardinals road cap and had a guy approach me with the same hat. He was also wearing a t-shirt with some pretty derogatory comments about the Cubbies. The fellow was from Springfield Mo. Small world. BTW, that's an awesome restaurant for anyone visiting this Frisco town. Pat Moreland, Union Mo.
Here I am with a couple bamboo "uncouplers" for the full-scale backyard railroad, aka BNSF Cuba Sub, formerly Frisco Rolla Sub. The railroad is behind the fence behind the beans and tomatoes in this 2009 view. If memory serves, there was good production of each that year. George Nelson
Nicely done, George. The garden's especially nice. It's always interesting to see what other "hobbies" and pursuits that others enjoy. Best Regards,
The BNSF knows not to stop behind George's garden, close to the famous Geyer/Big Bend intersection. If they do, unless the train has Frisco power up front, he threatens to run out and uncouple them! To prevent this, the BNSF should do a good Frisco heritage unit. Just kidding! Ken
