The enclosed pictures were taken today of the 50 year old Frisco cement hopper that Watco donated to the Heartlands two weeks ago. It is on it's way to the museum and should be spotted on our display track within a week. Not too bad looking for a 50 year old paint job!

John, Congratulations for the "Heartlands". Nice looking car for its age. :)

Now, If we can get Bob to post photo's of his finished "scratch built" hopper - we can compare the two.

That is a really cool addition to the collection. Now all they need to do is take off teh patch. I didn't think any of the Cement hoppers from that era had survived this long. Then again I saw one on the Ft. Scott sub last week only it wan't frisco.

Yes I will agree. It is in very good shape as far as appearance for it being fifty years old. most fifty year old cars don't look this good.

I always enjoyed seeing this one in Cherryvale, plus I loved it when this one was in the consist of my train. If I am right, it stayed in Chanute alot of the time. I sure miss runnin, especially when I had FRISCO in my consist!!!
