Recently a diagram for building a doghouse for Frisco steam locomotives was posted. According to my dim memory the diagram was originally drawn by Don Wirth but was apparently not posted by him as I have been unable to find it by researching posts made by him. I need to build several of these in O scale but have misplaced my notes about what thread this appeared in. If someone could direct me to the correct thread I would be grateful. Thanks in advance, Robert
See http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/fmig-newsletters.1665/page-4#post-9545 I know the diagram is kicking around the site somewhere... EDIT: Is this it? http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/doghouse-diagram.351/#post-2868
That's the diagram I remember. Note Don's name and former address on it. 1980 - wow, how time flies! K
Looking at it now, I noticed that I left the dimensions of the door off. Doghouse is on the tender of 1621 now at the museum.
Thank you Gary. That will help a lot. Thank you Don for both responding and for doing that diagram in the first place. As to the door dimensions I have close up photos of the one that was on 2-8-0 #77 and between the diagram and the photos I think I can come up with door dimensions that are fairly close. Robert
They had two "door" wall styles. This one with the additional window and the other one was just the door centered on the wall.
Howdy, I just saw this post. Attached is the doghouse diagram I used years ago. I don't recall how I got the source of the file, other than Don Wirth drew it. Have fun,
