    Howdy,

Did the Frisco have any fishbelly sideframe box cars?

Howdy, Mike. I'm probably the farthest thing from even being proficient in older freight car areas. However, I've tried to educate myself and I do not recall seeing any.

Wish Vince Griesemier were on here-maybe he's lurking. I suspect he or Brad Slone might be able to give a more definitive answer.

Did we ever come up with an answer to this question? I need to know...

    Thanks,

I will tell you what I know, which is not much there are probably others that could shed more light than I. The Frisco had a series of double door single sheathed boxcars in the 1511000 to 151400 series that had a reinforced C channel side sill. Also around 1946 they had the 154000 to 154300 series that where of an all steel construction with a heavy side sill. There where probably other cars from smaller series that had heavy side sills but these are all that I know of.

Brad, thanks for the details and information. Now I just need to find a picture of any of this series; I'm come up zeros so far, but will keep searching.

    Best Regards,

I have diagrams for the 15100-151099, 151100-151199, 151200-151284, & 151285-151499 series cars. I will post them soon. The mother-board on my PC fried, and I have been limping along with my spousal unit's laptop. I am returning to the Apple, and have been shopping around for a new computer, scanner with a large table, and printer.
