With the 2020 NMRA meet in St. Louis being cancelled, I can now get back to making decals and resin parts. I have the artwork finished for many of the Frisco/Frisco related decals I've discussed with many of you. I make many other roads too such as Missouri Pacific, Cotton Belt, Katy, etc. in many time eras. I don't make decals that are already available UNLESS it's a question of scale, color or accuracy. I can make decals in any scale. N scale is a challenge because of the TINY dimensions but I'm getting the hang of it. The first set is free and the price after that depends on the scale and difficulty of the artwork. They won't cost too much as I'm not out to make a fortune-just to recover my cost. Be patient. Since I'm retired now I don't get in a hurry for much of anything. I am also really getting into making detail parts using UV cured liquid resin. It works on sort of the same principle as a filament based 3D printer but with much much more detail. Where a filament printer physically moves a heated nozzle in the X/Y/Z position, a UV printer moves a beam of light in the X/Y/Z position. They both use files of the same type. For example, if you have an .stl file, in can be used on either printer. The results are much different though as the UV printer can print much smaller detail. The hard part is drawing the 3D files. They have to be very accurate as the printer will print exactly what the file tells it to print. I have attached photos of my latest detail part and in my opinion it might be too thin! In the past the problem was getting the part small enough but not now! All of that being said, this is a great hobby and we should try our darnedest to keep it going, make it affordable for all and make it fun. We need to share our resources, time and knowledge whenever possible. If you have any wants, needs or questions regarding the above email me at tlcinc@charter.net If you have requested decals in the past you have not been forgotten! I had to focus on getting my models finished for the NMRA national convention that has now been cancelled. I was really looking forward to it!

I need Cotton Belt "ST LOUIS SOUTHWESTERN" letterboard decals in G scale for a business car that I intend to customize. How about that? I'll look for photos.

    Thank you.

For now, I'll use decals for numbers BUT I will soon have the artwork finished to print these with the raised numbers just like the real thing. Do y'all think these will work out okay?

    I like them
As far as decals, I can't seem to find the Champ PH-50 passenger car set. Could you do something similar?

What is the overall size of the coonskin?

O scale 24" (1/2 inch). I've always been told they were 24" so that's what I went with.It looks a little big but the smoke box door it's on is small. They will look different on my locos with 63" smoke box doors. I've got some HO scale printed and some N scale printing now. The .stl files are scale-able. I'm not so sure I could paint the HO or N scale. Too SMALL!!!!!!

Based on the following images of the coonskin off of 4 Aces #1111, a 23" length would be correct with an 11 1/2" height. Thanks to Karl Brand for the confirmation.

You may want to check the location of the coonskin on the headlight bracket and be sure it doesn't interfere with the headlight rim. 1630hl.jpg
