From Richard Crabtree on Frisco Rails Across Missouri: Way down in the booth heel is a little town called Canalou, Missouri. The railroad came to town around 1902/3 to bring the lumber to the market. The Frisco Depot was built there to service the small town soon thereafter. The line ran down from Morehouse, Missouri.
