This caboose is of the early Frisco standard design that featured a wood cupola with tapered side walls and small end windows. Later design modification featured a steel cupola with vertical side walls and large end windows. The caboose is on static display in a back yard at a private residence on the northeast side of Enid, OK.

The caboose has been modified from its original configuration. It consists of the carbody and copula only. The side windows, including the cupola, have been replaced and enlarged. The trucks, under body brake rigging and other details have been removed and are not on the premises. The original car siding has been either removed or covered over. Currently the siding is board and batten style.

The address is 914 North 19th Street (cross street 1900 block of East Chestnut Avenue). The caboose is in a backyard on the west side of the street, 2 houses south of East Locust Avenue. This is 11 blocks west of North 30th Street (a/k/a US Highways 64 / 412).

The location is approximately, 6 blocks south of Steen. Steen is the junction of the Beaumont and Perry Subdivisions and former crossing of the ATSF Railroad on the east side of the Santa Fe's 10th Street Yard.

It is believed that this caboose was moved and relocated from a private residence just outside of town near North 42nd Street and East Owen K. Garriott Boulevard (renamed former East Market Street).

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
