The photographs indicate the caboose is in need of a new paint job. There are also a few other railroad items near the caboose including a dwarf signal and a grade crossing cross buck sign. This caboose appears to be sitting on the ground and no longer has its trucks. The owner has added a Railway Express Agency sign to the left (east) side above the windows. The caboose is located northwest of the intersections of US Highway 69 and US Highway 54 (a/k/a Kansas Highway 7) just north of Fort Scott, KS. The car is located at a private residence on the west side of the street.
