It is one of the Frisco built steel cupola with vertical sides and large end windows cabooses. These cabooses were constructed in the Frisco's shops.

The caboose has been modified from its original configuration with new larger side windows and new end doors. Also on the Frisco the window frames, end doors, corner and door frames were painted the came color as the car body. Further, I do not believe the Frisco used yellow marker lights on its cabooses. Photographs indicate the original marker light bodies were black.

Originally these were considered main line road cabooses. They were demoted to local service cabooses after the arrival of the International car Company extended vision cabooses in 1957.

The caboose is on static display at the Dental Depot in Edmond, OK. This is on the south side of Southwest 15th Street at Fretz Avenue (just west of the railroad crossing). The car sits on a short section of track on the east side of the dental office. Approximately 20 feet to the east is the former ATSF main track that runs north and south through town. This caboose was formerly on display in Mustang, OK.

The location address is 100 West 15th Street, Edmond, OK.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
