Can anyone direct me to a photo of a Frisco boxcar from around 1899? If it happened to be car #4492, that would exceed my expectations! Also, I'm a bit of a novice, so if someone could describe the build and dimensions of such a boxcar, it would be helpful. Ironically, this information will be used in an upcoming book about auto racing history, so I'd like to find a photo in the public domain or one that someone wouldn't mind me using. Thank you! also a question. If two rail lines terminate in the same city, at the turn of the 20th century, would they simply “trade” stocked boxcars and swap back on a later trip? Or would they move the cargo? I’m assuming the former, but it’s an important point for the story. Thank you!
