Just obtained " Nothing Could BeFiner Than A Frisco Diner" from the bay. Very good history/ reading, and many photos I have never seen before. A great addition to my Frisco library. Also, at the Collinsville train show, picked up the Meteor book from the TRRA Society. Another bunch of photos I had never seen!! Spending time in the reading room!!
Nice to hear that the Collinsville show still happens - Thanksgiving weekend? When my brother-in-law lived in Richmond Hts., we'd all gather there - my wife and I and her parents - Friday and Saturday, with a trip to Collinsville on Saturday. If we were lucky, we'd stop by "Big Boy" in Wright City on our way back west. Good times. Enjoy the reading, Dan! Best Regards,
And, Richmond Heights was honored by being selected for the car name of Frisco lightweight coach SLSF 1256, for the Meteor. K
I renumbered/named one of my Hallmark Meteor chair cars to Richmond Heights because I thought it was a cool name for a passenger car. Terry
Thanks Charlie, my searches somehow missed this one. Now I will have more pictures and information about the Frisco.
