I am interested in the several neat artist renderings of the Frisco Alco FA-1s. Attached below are pictures of the four I know about. All very well done, three by the late Howard Fogg and the other by artist unknown. Do any of you know of any others? Ken Attached: SLSF 5200 Fogg SLSF 5217-1 Fogg SLSF 5217-2 Fogg SLSF 5219 unknown
Are those yours Ken? Is the one on the far right signed? As far as other paintings/prints/artists, John Winfield and Andy Hermantas (sp?) would be good guesses. Tom
Tom, I have the two 5217's and the 5219, but none of them are framed. Yes, the 5219 print is signed. It starts with a "B", but I cannot make the rest of it out. All of them show up on eBay now and then. I passed on a copy of 5200 about a year ago because a friend wanted it. I am waiting for the next one! I am thinking it would be neat to have them all on the wall in a group. That is why I am interested to know if there are any others. I have always wondered if that orange flash just above the locomotive on the 5219 print is the air-cooled turbo on fire! Ken
Ken, Have you looked at Jelsma Graphic's website? Last time I looked there every known, at least to me, Frisco print was on there. John Winfield also has a site, he may have a Frisco FA-1 painting. Tom
Tom , Yes, in fact I have a couple of Jelsma prints hanging on my wall. The Texas Special print of SLSF 2000 with the MP Eagle in the background, and the SLSF 5016 F3A at Holly Springs, MS are both neat pictures! Ken
