Attached are photos that were taken on the tour of the Springfield Underground. The interior photos show the unusual ambiance with its limestone pillars, loading bays and BNSF reefers servicing the Kraft cheese facility. A driving rain kept me from taking many outside views but the last photo shows the runaway track.
Re: 2011 Frisco Convention Pictures - Grant Beach Park Attendees of the Convention were allowed to explore the cosmetically restored Frisco engine 4524 in Grant Beach Park as well as many of the artifacts housed in the cars coupled to it.
Re: 2011 Frisco Convention-Headquarters Building A brief respite from the rain provided the opportunity to take some pictures of the Frisco headquarters building Sunday morning. This is where the presentations were held Saturday.
Re: 2011 Frisco Convention-Springfield Underground Rich, many thanks for the pictures! Gives a little taste of what was out there for those of us who had calendar conflicts! Best Regards,

Hi Keith! Thanks for the pics... helps me imprint the nick names w/the correct names and faces! BTW: The "Unknown" in pic 5 is John Dill, regional historian extroidanaire! EDIT: The Frisco vets were one of the highlights of the meet! EDIT 2: Also, my forum nick name is "Coonskin". I usually sign my first name at the bottom of a post, though. Andre
Wow, great pics and thanks to Keith and all for making some name and face connections for us in the Frisco Nation. Tom Holley
Andre and all, I truly regret that I was unable to attend the convention and meet y´all! Looks like Tulsa might make the 2012 and I will do everything possible to show up. I have a Frisco/Katy fan who lives within spittin´ distance of Tulsa town and I can pitch a pup tent in his lower 40. The photos are great. Mabie I can send a slide of myself to Frisco Mike so he can put on the site and prove to the world that the Ugly Stick does work! I will hide under my white Operation Lifesaver cap. Still need a Frisco and Katy pin for it, a la Texas Special! I love all the railroads that served the Great Southwest but the Frisco remains dear to my heart. I can tell by the photos that all of you are a great bunch of people. Hope I can make the meet in 2012. Joe Toth The Trinity River Bottoms Boomer
Sorry I could not attend the convention, I had a Boy Scout camp out to go to. I love the Frisco bird house, I'm building one now, very cool. Mike.P
If anyone would have Guy Pollards' email address, I would appreciate you forwarding by PM. Thanks, Jeff Cooney
The following two pictures are from inside the Board Room of the Frisco Building. Mark Davidson photos.
Those photos of the conference room at Frisco Crossing demonstrate what a great location the 2011 convention had. Does anyone know - have any of the presentation PowerPoint files been posted, or will they be? I thought all the presenters were terrific. - Bruce
