      Hey Jim,

Would you like a copy of that MDC conversion article. If so, please email me at: railroadinmanny@msn.com so I can send it to you.

      Thanks!

      Hey Jim,

I'm really enjoying your Zalma Branch thread. You are quite the artist. Keep up the good work!

For what little I can do Jim, I'm really trying to be a great supporter for you. Your work inspires me. I hope what little I have contributed has helped, but it's kinda like the student telling the teacher what to do. LOL. Can't wait. I'm going to be ordering the bench work from Sievers shortly for the SAF&N. Then its off to building just like you. Can't wait.

Thanks Jim! History is what interests me the most about railroads, especially the little out of the way places that they went like Zalma and my hometown of Wesco. The Salem Branch survived until 1984, but there were several other smaller branches that spun off of it that were dismantled around the same time. I guess the Frisco was doing what it had to do in order to get through the Depression.

Jim, what's the history of the Zalma Branch? Just curious.

      Jim,

I was viewing layout pictures and messages and came across yours. I have to say that I'm truly inspired with your work on the Zalma Branch. I would like to know, if you don't mind sharing the info, what type of locomotive that is. I model the Salem branch and bought a simple IHC Illinois Central 4-4-0 that I repainted and decaled as SL&SF no. 151 for use on it, but I'm not completely happy with the results. Did you detail this locomotive yourself? If so, you did a fantastic job with it. I would appreciate any pointers you could give me on detailing a steam locomotive (my prototype is an 1882 Rogers) to this level.

      Thanks,

      Pat Moreland
