For the last couple of days, the site logs me out each time I leave the site. I have always checked the box to stay logged in, but for some reason it is now logging me out each time I leave the site. Thank You, Mark
I have this issue when my browser installs an update. I usually have to restart the browser, but as Keith says, close it down and reboot.
Thank you for the replies. I rebooted the computer and it is still logging me out. I am on several other web forums and this is the only one doing this. Thanks Mark
If your browser restricts cookies, it is possible that the persistence to remain logged in may be cleared when you close your browser. OR If your browser is set not to remember history, you may have an issue.
I'm not sure what is going on. I only started having this problem a couple of days ago and it is only this forum. I use Microsoft Edge, maybe it updated and is causing the problem. Thanks, Mark
An untested hypothesis, here, but maybe try clearing out cached images and/or history? For our corporate learning management system that uses a 3rd-party SaaS solution, when it seems to be acting up on an individual end-user level, clearing out cached files/images seems to do the trick most of the time. Using a phrase that I think I've seen Don Wirth use on this site, we might need to upgrade the operating system of the steam-powered veeblefetzer.
Thank you for the reply. I cleared the browsing history and the cookies and the site is staying logged in when I exit. Thanks again for the help, Mark
The "Stay Logged In" routine is broke in some way. This is the ONLY site that I have to log in every time I visit. It started a day or two ago. IF you have this many people having the same issue, it's not their browsers/etc, there's something amiss with the software. It is failing to issue a cookie, or not recognizing the saved cookie.
It is not the site. I am not having any issues. Notice that there have not been any other complaints since November 2022. Updates of browsers are usually the cause. Clear browsing history and delete any cookie that is on your computer associated with the site. Close your browser, then re-open. Log in and don't forget to check the box; Stay logged in.
Oddly, after having to log-in every time I visited this site (for the past several weeks) I went to this site this morning to discover I was still logged-in from my last session yesterday. So far, that has been the case every time I view this site today. I have not upgraded my browser nor have I removed cookies. (Which would really be a PITA in view of the several forums I'm a part of.) Very strange. Andre
It's a mystery. I'm glad this site is functioning again as it did previously on my computer. Computers. Hmph.
