A few of you may be familiar with the Texas Towers website (txrrhistory.com/towers), particularly if you follow the Railspot Group or the FB group "Texas Railroad History". I am the webmaster/editor/researcher for the entire operation, and I can always use additional sources of information. If you have any vintage photos of Texas towers that involved the Frisco (or not!), please contact me. I'm in particular need of tower photos at Paris (Tower 79), Vernon (Tower 37) and Quanah (Tower 27). I also need any information that pertains to Tower 213 in Floydada. This interlocker was commissioned in the early 1960s, presumably an automatic plant in support of the QSF/QLA interchange with Santa Fe. But other than its existence, I know nothing about it, not even where it was in Floydada nor what it actually controlled. And it may have been a "Santa Fe" only interlocker (which, oddly, dates back to a controversy in the 1920s regarding Santa Fe's Tower 135 interlocker at Canyon.) Whatever the case, photos are welcome, even depot photos and current site photos of where structures once stood since I try to document the entire railroad history of an area, not just the tower. And of course, many "towers" in Texas post-1928 were merely equipment cabinets or gates. All of this type of information is relevant to my research. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! -- Jim King

Ditto on your website. Hope you find some great shots of the Floydada and Quanah towers. My mom grew up in Quanah and her dad was a career lineman on the Frisco, the vast majority on the QA&P. In the near future I plan to make a trip to the depot museums in both Quanah and Paducah. If they have any tower photos that are pertinent, I'll send copies your way, after clearing it with the museum people.

I grew up in the DFW area and spent quite a bit of time at Tower 55.
