2-6-0 SLSF 73

Ran onto these today going through my dads photographs.

 

Just saw this.

Going to convert and redetail a Bachmann mogul to approximate.

 

It is going to be a really good looking if you squint kind of thing.

I have a lesser project in mind. Put a visor on the headlight, add a pilot deck, see if I can get a coonskin number plate on front, add a whistle and a better bell, (maybe) cut the mogul tender coal boards shorter, put an oil bunker in, and letter it up!

 

And a doghouse on the tender if it will fit.

The one on the SLSF 73 looks a lot like the Bachmann one. I have a couple of spares.

I noticed that SLSF 73’s tender looks freshly painted while the engine itself appears to be a favorite local pigeon hangout.
