Frisco took the troop trains to Birmingham, Alabama to the Central of Georgia connection to go to Fort Benning after Pearl Harbor.(12-7-41)

Frisco ran troop trains to Wichita that connected with Santa Fe for transporting troops to the west coast. My Dad worked in Wichita and worked some of those troop trains back when they were powered by steam.

No documentation for this, but likely also Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma. For a time, there was a stub section of the METEOR that continued beyond OKC to Lawton for the convenence of military personnal.
