I ordered lanyards today. I had to order a minimum of 150 to make it work and it's a slight risk with only 79 commitments, but heck, we only go around once in life... The price comes to $2.00 each not including shipping to you. Each of you send me your email address at klrwhizkid2003 at yahoo.com, with a confirmation of the quantity that you want and your snail mail address. I intend to ship them to you via USPS and will let you know the total including shipping to you. I will accept good checks from my Frisco friends. The attached image is what they look like.
I could probably buy about 10. I wouldn't be using them for throttle lanyards though. I would be using them for train instruction cards. Paul
Now I count 93 lanyards. Keith, you may want to go to the train board website and promote the lanyards. You may get several orders on their website. Joe
Just a note: I ordered based on commitments given on this forum as of Wednesday afternoon when I ordered them. Unfortunately, many of you did not pre-commit and the quantity I ordered was the minimum I could order in one order (since the upfront money came out of my pocket) and that was exhausted by nearly everyone who committed later saying they would take twice as many as they committed to after I ordered them. As of Wednesday evening, I only had 14 left and those were sold locally, including some for myself. Sorry, if you did not commit before Thursday or did not get a GOT IT! confirmation from me, you missed out. If I were to order more, once again the minimum will be 150 and at this point, without a full complement of up-front commitments, I will not be ordering more.
If you had committed to buying lanyards on this forum before Thursday 5/5/16 and have not sent me an email or conversation with your address, please do so at this time.
Keith: Received mine today. Already have 2 of them in Service. Much better than the KU ones I got at Walmart. I love them. Thanks. Bob
Chums, or even the cheaper generic eyeglass retainers come out almost twice as much or more than the lanyards.
You snooze you loose. I thought I had a couple ordered, but looking back I guess I never did, what a dope. John
