AWESOME JOB BRAD, I WISH I HAD THE TALENT TO DO THAT, RIGHT NOW I AM IN THE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PHASE OF MODELING!!!!
Brad, that looks better than a brass import. You should submit your project to MR or RMC. Seriously, you should get this project published. Is it equipped with DCC and sound? Nice skills!
Great work Brad, Looks brutish. I have always enjoyed looking at switchers, seems they were all business, with only drivers. I'll bet this one could pull quite a string of tonnage. Tom Holley
Thanks for all the compliments, it wasn't really all that difficult just took a little time. I say that, initially I wasn't sure how well it would turn out so I was reluctant to spend the extra money on the Bachmann version equipped with sound. Now that it's finished I wish I had, oh well. It's not an exact replica of the 3500's, the biggest discrepancy is in the running gear, the prototype was much simpler. But when you are using a commercial engine as a starting point there are something you have to except or go through a lot of work, which I didn't! I think it is a good representation of the prototype and runs very well. I probably don't have enough good photos for a commercial publication, I need a much better camera and progress shots for that, but I'll see what I can do about a future Meteor article. Brad
Excellent work, Mr. Slone. The pictures you've included are the ultimate visual testimonial for prototype modeling. Best Regards,
