I've been thinking. Some people refer to BN as Big Nothing and BNSF as Been Nothing Since Frisco. The Frisco went bankrupt, twice I believe, after absorbing the KCM&B (Kansas City, Memphis & Birmingham). I wonder if there were any KCM&B railfans back then who said that SLSF stood for Still Lacking Sufficient Funds? LOL I wouldn't dare post that for the masses but I though you might just get a laugh out of that!

It just wasn't worth all the fuss. I'm sure enough people saw it for me to get my point across. So I deleted the thread before the "purists" had a panic attack at the mention of BNSF and banned me forever (what ever would I do? LOL). To Mark, whoever that is, BNSF is a forbidden 4-letter word. It' strange how people talk about MoPac and Katy on here even though they are now owned by UP and those threads aren't closed. I can't find how those roadnames fit into the pure frisco world. Oh well, I've spent enough time dealing with those who are still stuck in 1981. If they can't accept the fact that BN and BNSF have kept the old Frisco lines going, then that's their problem.

      Hi Jeff!

YES I would be interested in hiking/exploring the Winding Stair Mountain grade with you. Right you are, winter would be the absolute best time to do that.

Have you ever been to Talihina?

Oh, sorry for the delay in responding: I just found your note tonight! (Saturday)
