I don’t know whose layout this is, but it has some of the best rural ROW I’ve seen. Especially the Rix green glass insulator poles. They went out of production before I got any and I want em bad.
@patrick flory Thanks Patrick, that is a photo diorama I built a couple years ago not a full layout. It is just for pictures as I finish projects. I also have a winter one and a yard/industrial one. The poles are RIX but for the insulators I paint them green with cheap craft acrylics then put gloss laquer over that to add depth. So they look like glass. I try to mix the colors up a little when I make up the green. Since this photo it has gotten EZ line on the poles also. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it,Steve
Well, that’s great to know about the insulators, that I can get that look too. I collected em as a kid way back when they were around.
