This photo is a keeper. I joined this organization because I would have been a small passenger similar to those preparing to board as a Kindergartner the spring before (I think).
Do you know anything about the typical car roster on this train? What engine was typically up front?

Not now. Maybe that can be found.
      Thanks for liking this,

@Steven Hick There is more information to be found about the train in the photo if you search the forum for Sunnyland. This picture is a Southeast Missourian photo, the local paper in my home town of Cape Girardeau. Sharon Sanders is the Librarian for the Southeast Missourian. I have looked through all of the photos they have archived (all are digitized) and all the photosof the Sunnyland in Cape are from an oblique angle. There are some other photos of the Sunnyland scattered about in the Frisco Archive and on this forum. In the diesel era, most commonly the Sunnyland was headed up with an E8A, but sometimes with a GP7. I have a couple of pictures of the Sunnyland that provide a better view of the consist that I just acquired and are posted on this thread: http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index....yland-on-the-river-division.12318/#post-76620
