You see that little white building on the right? That used to be Ernest Raymer's Barber Shop. My dad used to take me there for haircuts when I was just a small boy. I remember the neatest thing about going there was that the Frisco passenger station was right across the street and I could watch the trains come in as I sat in the chair getting clipped. I got to see the Meteor, Texas Special, and the Blue Bonnet make their stops. Those were the good ole days for sure.

What town is this? What years were that? The pole to the left is one of the beautiful old open wire telephone poles with the green and clear glass insulators and green copper wires that whined in the wind that used to follow every railroad track. The number of wires and cross arms were directly related to the importance of the line. They are almost all gone now. Railroads don't look right without them.
