Found this not long ago, in a tiny 2-3/4" by 4-5/8" print.

Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, MO ready to back down to the Kansas City Union Station depot.

616 contact print, probably from a Wes Krambeck negative.

    Nice shot.

    2-1/2" by 4-1/4" without border?

    So, probably Kodak 116 format?

Yes, 116/616 was popular for railroad photography.

Some good photographers moved from 616 to 122, postcard size, or 4" x 5".

My old man, who sidelined as a freelance writer and photographer, used a Mamiya C-3 in 2-1/4" x 3-1/4", after his Speed Graphic finally broke down.

He then we went 35 mm.
