Just an observation: Engine 1503, near the end of its days, was stripped of its streamlining trim and converted from an oil burner to coal fuel. In tonight's archive photo (dated 1949) shows 1503 (as a coal burner) pulling in to Tulsa with a passenger train! If you're modeling a 1500, you might not have to bother with an oil burning tender, maybe just a PRR style pilot. If your model is a factory coal burner, 1503 might be an option??

The interlocking tower, which protects the SLSF-ATSF-MV-MKT crossings, can be seen in the background. I wonder if this might be Train Number 3 and not 117 as stated.
