Thanks to the late Lloyd Stagner who provided me with this data. I imagine he obtained it from material at the defunct Frisco Museum.
I cannot find 1522 on the list. Also, some of the 106# 4-6-4 locomotives do not show up either. That is probably because there is another compilation showing Memphis, Birmingham, Amory and other points on the system.
I think you must be spot-on, George. Nothing listed for Chaffee, Cherokee, OKC, etc. Still good stuff. Tom, I'm guessing that "Springfield" would have been the North Yard roundhouse, whereas "Springfield Shops" would have been the main shops west of Kansas Ave.? Thanks very much for sharing. Best Regards,
I also note that there are 5 locomotives under "DE" in St. Louis. These are first early diesel electric (DE) switchers, Baldwin VO-1000s SLSF 200-204. All the rest are steam. Paul
Mr Stagner gave these to me about ten years ago. My interest was and is the Central Division. I am really embarrassed that I did not realize it left out about half of the Frisco. I also have a copy of the magazine Midwestern Railroader I bought from Stagner' in which Stagner listed the disposition date (scrap in most cases) of what I believe are 100% of the Frisco steam engine fleet.
Here is a listing of locomotives as September 20, 1951. Mr. Stagner's penciled notes were as follows: C = Central Division, asterisk (*) = oil burner, WL = White Lead Stored OK
Oh, no, you should not be. Thanks for sharing it with us. The companion information is bound to surface somewhere.
Tom, That is spectacular. I'm especially intrigued that there are still a couple of 700-series Ten-Wheelers stored at Chaffee. Anyone have any guesses what "LF" would have designated for #721, not to mention the "SU," "F," and "P"? I'd assume that "Y' means that yes, it is serviceable? Thank you very much for sharing. Best Regards,

Would this be some of the information included in Lloyd Stagner's book Frisco Steam Finale? This little book is a jewel, pick up a copy in you haven't done so already. Tom G.
Yes, I have a copy of the Frisco Steam Finale What I have is Stagner's source material. I guess, I seem to recall he got the disposition status at the Frisco Museum.
Karl, Perfect, thanks very much. Neat to see a couple of ten-wheelers still holding out in yard and local freight service on the River Division this late in the Frisco steam era. Best Regards,
The 1100 and 1400 series locomotives are not on the list. That ten-wheeler in Charles Wherry's fine story about "Riding the High Line" had little time left. Please see http://www.frisco.org/shipit/index.php?threads/riding-the-highline-1950.10091/
Just noticed on this list that 4150 is listed as "Stored, Unserviceable" at Chaffee. Now we have an archive photo showing 4150 a couple of months later: http://frisco.org/mainline/2018/03/29/2-8-2-4150-2/
