There has been a slide or photograph in circulation for some time of caboose SLSF 202 in Pullman green paint.

Does anyone have any information on this car such as its paint date to Pullman green and when it was returned to Caboose red or some other color?

Any other information would be helpful as well, especially if you know why they painted a caboose green and why it was only one caboose.

    Ship IT on the Frisco!

    Thanks.

    Rick

It's been awhile since this was posted.

Anyone with some information or photographs?

All I could find was one photograph in one of the Frisco Modelers Information Group (FMIG) magazines.

The Brass Trains web page has a copy of your photograph saying it was for a business train.

An All Aboard article says it was painted green for a directors special train of business cars.

The All Aboard article did not know dates either.

I remember seeing caboose SLSF 202 in Fayetteville, AR in the summer of 1965.

It was in the Pullman green paint.

Caboose SLSF 202 still survives today.

She is on display in Mt. Vernon, Missouri and is in excellent overall condition.

The Chamber of Commerce there owns her and takes pretty good care of her.
